Philip Saltiel, M.D.

Dr. Philip Saltiel is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in Psychopharmacology, Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine with more than 15 years experience treating depression. His experience in administering electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) as an attending psysician at New York University-Langone Medical Center gives him a unique perspective on the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. Dr. Saltiel feels this new, FDA-approved alternative is a wonderful option for individuals who have not responded to medication, or for those who cannot take medication for various reasons.

Dr. Saltiel received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and went on to fulfill his medical training at NYU-Langone Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. After a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at NYU-Langone Medical Center, Dr. Saltiel remained on staff and continues to work with physicians of all other specialties in treating patients with psychiatric issues who are hospitalized on medical, surgical and rehabilitation units. He also sees patients in his office in New York City's Upper East Side.
